Songs and Praise

Ireland Musical Evangelism report 2015

Glory be to God for another Victory weekend time in Ireland. This was made possible by the presence of a team of evangelists led by Rev Ola Balogun that was sent from the Apostolic Faith UK headquarters. We felt the presence of the holy spirit leading the way all through the program.  The members of the choir arrived early to have a bit of rest before their practise. We were treated to some inspirational songs coupled with special pieces on various musical instruments.

The first day event took place at our worship centre in Swords, Dublin. God used the younger members of the choir to encourage us with their testimonies, which really suited the day because the higher percentage of the attendees were young people. After the special song, bro Delight shared a message with the congregation on the love of Jesus and why He was manifested. He pointed us to Jesus as our great deliverer who was manifested to destroy the works of the devil and give victory to man. He encouraged everyone to claim their victory over sin, sickness and problem of every kind by asking, seeking and knocking because what Jesus has said He will do. The service closed with the congregation singing 'More holiness give me' followed by altar call.
The second day began with our journey to Clondalkin Cristian Centre (CCC) which was about 30mins away from the Lodging centre. On arrival the Apostolic Faith team met with the leaders of the CCC and assisted with setting up before workers prayer time. The choir from the CCC led the praise worship. The leading minister of CCC introduced the Apostolic Faith choir before handing over the program for the day to us. The presentations from the choir/orchestra were like a mini concert. Even the small children were very excited watching the event till the end. Special presentations include violin solo, trumpet/baritone duet, vocal solo, bassoon solo etc. It was such a blessed time.
The event was rounded up with a word of exhortation from Rev Ola on 'How we can have revival as believers'. He pointed out that the devil knows what to do in order to prevent revival and he is doing that by making us too busy and prayerless as believers. He also mentioned the need for salvation in the life of a sinner before he can be an agent of revival as an instrument in God's hand. When there is revival people will be able to make their past right, mend broken relationship, love their enemies, live a Godly life as they wish. For God to send revival, the church must have a broken heart and a contrite spirit living soberly and righteously.
People were asked to pray for a change in their own lives so that we can have revival and see God snatch people from the devil.
The prayer session followed and people came out for prayer weeping, pouring out their hearts. It was a good time of fellowship over finger food and drinks afterwards. Our desire and prayer is that the seed sown will continue to germinate until we see Ireland worn for Christ.
