Post camp meeting revival week 2017. Day 5 report

Preacher: Bro Felix Panganayi

Topic: Your Last Day is Unknown - Get Saved Now!
Friday Revival and Evangelistic service was the last day of the 2017 Post Camp Meetings Revival Week, but by God's grace it was not the least.
A combined Revival and Evangelistic Service was held to cap off a blessed revival week of prayer which in itself capped off a great year of the several camp meetings that preceded it.
The service started with the orchestra playing, "Lead On, Lead On"; this was followed by a Choir rendition of "All God's Children", then a quartet of "I have made a covenant".   Then after the preludes we began congregational hymns. We sang from CGS 700 - "We praise Thee, O God' CGS:508 "Ho Reapers in the whitened harvest", CGS -Chorus 47: "I'm gonna work and watch and pray," and finally CGS 130: "All that draw me, I have left behind" before being led in congregational prayer, which was followed by annoucement.   Thereafter, there was a choir rendition, "Happy" that set the stage for testimonies which was kicked off by a member of the choir.   Several saints spontaneously gave shouts of victory to the Lord as they testified of their Christian experiences and battles won for them by the Lord.
There were testimonies of God's divine healing for the sick, including someone that suffered depression; even logistical problems are nothing for God to solve as we heard.
The last special was a Quartet, "On The Jericho Road", which was followed by the sermon, given by Brother Felix Penganayi of our Peckham branch Church. He began the message by highlighting the need for salvation, that we do not know when we will die, and to die is inevitable, so we must be sure we are ready for the afterlife.   He took his main text from 1John 3;1-3, "1Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.  Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.  And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure."   Speaking extensively on the love of God to mankind, he encouraged everyone to reciprocate by ensuring they get saved.
We must be born again if we want to be sons of God, by confessing and renouncing our sins, and like the children of Israel in the wilderness, look up to God and live. We were reminded that only those who are born again, are the sons of God. Bro Felix stressed upon the fact that all the Israelites had to do was to look up to the serpent which was a "foreshadowing of things to come". A foreshadowing of the Cross.
The lesson to be learned from this was that it is Christ who does the saving and all we need to do is look up to Him. "Salvation isn't difficult", Bro Felix repeated to us, reading from 1John 5:14-15 " And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him"     If we ask God anything according to His will (Salvation is surely His will) He will hear us! Bro Felix carried on and spoke directly to the young people, proclaiming that they will not lose their glory by coming to God, but instead they will gain more. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed, the next minute isn't guaranteed. If we are not saved, let us pray and be saved. "We do not need to climb a hill to be saved, we don't need to fast for 40 days" All we need is to confess and turn away from our sins, and God will surely adopt us as His children. We then went on our knees and to the altars to pray.
