We will see Jesus

We will see Jesus. It is my prayer that everyone here tonight may see Jesus and that God may help each one of us to see Jesus. I am sure you will find him; he is always around, faithful, so we will see Jesus. We will like to see a bit about Jesus. He was born in Bethlehem, and grew up and started this ministry. He revealed himself to the people, they walked with him, ate with him did all sort of things with him. However he is still present with us today because Jesus the same yesterday, today will remain the same forever. We will like to walk with Jesus. You might have been coming here for some time and hearing about salvation, which was the essence of Jesus coming to this world to save people from their sins. It was the provision God made for us when man fell and God loved mankind. God wanted mankind to live with him eternally, hence what could he do –this necessitated the shedding of the blood. The blood of Jesus still avails for us. The blood was shed for us for the remission of our sins. When the young ones come to Jesus Christ, he saves them, while when the adult comes to Jesus Christ, he saves them. What do we have to do then? We have to confess our sins and promise Jesus Christ that God, I did this and that and will not go back to them again, and with faith we apply the blood of Jesus Christ and our sins will be washed away. Then the Spirit will witness within us that we are children of God. My prayer tonight is that all those in this category will be met by Jesus to satisfy their needs. God will help them to confess. For I deliver unto you first of all that which I also received that how Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures. Jesus died for our sins, Glory be to God. If you want to come out of bondage, Jesus is willing to set you free. He is the king of peace, and wants to replace the trouble in your heart with peace. Why can we not receive from God? This is because of sin in our heart does not allow him to come into our heart. But we want to tell Jesus about our sins. He is here now to forgive us. If we open our heart and hold on to Jesus, he is the only that can help us. We heard in the morning about the gospel – which is the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is the gospel that will remain with us every day with peace. Do you want that gospel, do you want Jesus Christ?

There was a woman who was in problem and had been everywhere looking for help, but we have help in Jesus Christ. The woman came to Jesus Christ, and Jesus answered her. This was the woman of the issue of blood who had spent everything she had. She came to Jesus and Jesus forgave her sin, so also Jesus wants to forgive you today. All the sins you have been carrying around, Jesus wants to remove them, but let us confess our sins to God. Jesus wants to bless us, this is the beginning of the year and we want victory every day. It is my prayer that our victories will continue and this victory will be given to us by Christ.

Let us see the account of two blind men crying after Jesus Christ. They said Son of David have mercy upon us. We should say this tonight, if we are in sin, or whatever our problems, we should say that “Son of David have mercy on me.” He will have mercy, he is a merciful God. Let us open our hearts to him. He is here to help us; he is here to take us in. I am sure Jesus will help us. No one else can help us. Your friend that invited you to come here invited you not to come and see anybody but Jesus. According to the scriptures, we want to see Jesus, I want to see Jesus. Jesus is here and ready to see us. What happened to the blind men? Jesus said believe ye that I can do this? do you think it is possible for me to open eyes? Jesus is here tonight to open our eyes. Glory be to God. He will open our eyes for us because of the sins within us have blinded us. When we call Jesus into our hearts, he will open our eyes. And they said unto him, Yea Lord. If we say the same thing, and want him to forgive us of our sins, we should call Jesus the Son of David, believe that he can save your soul, believe that he can forgive your sins, and believe that he can remove your trouble. These blind men received their sight. It is the same Jesus that we are dealing with.

There was also a man who had been sleeping everyday beside the pool of Bethsaida. When the angel came to trouble the water, the first person that entered in got healed, however this man had been there for many years. When he tried to get into the water, somebody else went in before him. The day he met Jesus, Jesus set him free. Jesus wants to set you free today, and what we need to do is to get rid of sin.

Another account of the works of Jesus – was about the calming of the sea.

25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him. Luke 8:25

That was Jesus Christ, asking where is your faith? That is why you have been seeking salvation for ages and yet not saved. Where is your faith? Jesus Christ is willing to save you. Do you want to tell me that Jesus Christ cannot save again? No, Jesus can save. Where is your faith?

26 And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee.
27 And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.
Luke 8:26-27

Because of sin he was naked. When we are in our sins, we are naked before God. When God drove Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden, they realized that they were naked. When they were with God before they were not naked, but when God drove them out because they disobeyed God, they realized that they were naked people because of their sins. When we are still in sin we are naked before God. This man was trouble by the devil because of sin in his life. If we come to the throne of Jesus Christ, trouble may come, afflictions may come, one will still find himself walking with the king and that victory continues. Salvation is very important and cannot be compared to anything else. Without salvation we will not be able to receive from God. This man saw Jesus and cried with a loud voice.

28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not. Luke 8:28

Jesus will never torment anyone. Because of the devil in the man, he cried out, but thank God, Jesus can meet all our needs, whatever our needs in this life. He is a God that can provide, and leads us. He will not lead us astray. We thank God Jesus met the needs of this man, and he wants to meet our needs today. He wants to save us tonight. If you have been saved, he wants us to be sanctified and if sanctified, we will receive the Holy Spirit. He wants us to claim it tonight. He commanded the unclean spirit to leave.

29 (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)
30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.
31 And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.
32 And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.
33 Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked.
34 When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country.
35 Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
Luke 8:29-35

That man was naked before, he was chained, but he  broke the chains. We thank God, when God met him everything left him and he sat down in his right mind. Jesus wants to clothe you tonight. If Jesus clothes you with the garment, you will have peace. Jesus wants to save you and when you confess your sins and you get to a stage where God requires something from you, and you could not progress, therefore you loose your victory. When God speaks to you, speak back to him. He knows you he knows my heart and yours. Come and give your life to God.
