The Old-Time Revival: Germany Autumn Special Weekend

Konstanz | 16-18 October 2026

Brethren from across Western Europe gathered in Konstanz, Germany, for three days of prayer, worship, fellowship, biblical teaching and evangelistic outreach under the theme “The Old-Time Revival.” The weekend brought together participants from Germany, Austria, Italy, the Czech Republic, Spain, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Malta, with others joining online. The central call was clear: seek God for fresh spiritual life while remaining faithful to the old paths of prayer, holiness and wholehearted devotion to Christ.

Friday – A Call to Revival

The weekend opened on Friday evening with prayer, congregational worship, testimonies and special music. Revival songs including “Revive Us Again,” “Redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb” and “The Comforter Has Come” helped set the spiritual tone. Testimonies gave glory to God for salvation, deliverance, provision and His faithfulness in difficult circumstances.

Preaching from Joel 2:23-28, Sister Abena Abioye spoke on “The Old-Time Revival,” using the former and latter rains as a picture of the refreshing work of the Holy Ghost. The congregation was encouraged to believe God for restoration and to seek a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. The service closed with earnest prayer for revival, restoration and a fresh outpouring of the Holy Ghost.

Saturday – Strengthening Homes, Youth and Faith

Saturday morning featured a combined Singles and Couples’ Conference on “2 to 1: God’s Blueprint for Marriage.” Separate sessions considered biblical principles for marriage, courtship, communication, purity and family life, before everyone came together for a practical question-and-answer session. Brother Ola Balogun, District Superintendent for Western Europe, joined Sister Abena Abioye and Brother Olaitan Abimbola on the panel.

In the afternoon, children, young people and families took part in a lively Singspiration and Youth & Family Concert. Congregational songs, children’s presentations, family items, a male quartet and a solo created a joyful setting for worship. Participants in Bible Giant 1.0 were also recognised with gifts, certificates and awards. Closing from Matthew 11:28, Brother Peter Rowland encouraged everyone who is weary or burdened to come to Jesus.

The evening revival service continued with inspiring choir, instrumental and duet presentations, followed by testimonies of healing, protection, provision and deliverance. Brother Olaitan Abimbola preached on “Jesus Christ Will Meet Your Expectation” from Proverbs 23:15-18, urging the congregation to place its confidence in Christ, who is able to save, sanctify, heal, deliver and meet every need.

Sunday – “Lord, Revive Me”

Sunday began with classes for children and adults. The combined adult lesson, “The Antichrist,” drew from Revelation 13 and 14 and 2 Thessalonians 2, emphasising the importance of remaining faithful to God, discerning last-day deception and living ready for the return of Jesus Christ.

The morning devotional service was enriched by organ and violin preludes, choir selections and a solo before the ministry of the Word. Taking Psalm 85:6-7 as his main text, Brother Ola Balogun preached “The Heart God Revives.” He reminded the congregation that genuine revival begins in the individual heart: before God revives a church, city, nation or continent, He first works in surrendered hearts. Revival, he stressed, is more than meetings, music or powerful preaching; it is God breathing fresh spiritual life into His people, restoring first love and turning hearts fully back to Him.

The challenge became personal: “Lord, revive me.” The congregation was urged to reject spiritual coldness and prayerlessness, remember God’s past faithfulness, and seek a closer walk with Him. The message brought the three-day programme to a fitting conclusion – an old-time revival begins with a heart wholly surrendered to God.

A Weekend of Renewal and Fellowship

The 2026 Germany Autumn Special Weekend was a blessed season of spiritual refreshment, biblical instruction and renewed consecration. It also strengthened fellowship among brethren across Western Europe and gave children, young people, singles, couples and families meaningful opportunities to participate in the work of God.

We give God the glory for every testimony, every truth proclaimed and every heart encouraged to seek Him more earnestly. Our prayer is that the Lord will continue to revive His people, strengthen the Gospel work in Germany and throughout Western Europe, and keep us faithful until Jesus comes.

“Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?”
Psalm 85:6 (KJV)
