We give thanks to God Almighty for the success of the Special Weekend Revival Programme held in Konstanz, Germany, on March 1st and 2nd, 2025. The theme of the two-day event was “Revive us again”. It was truly a transformative weekend in God’s presence, as the revival ignited spiritual renewal, and many were richly blessed.
By February 28th, some brethren from Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands had already arrived in Konstanz in anticipation of the special event. More participants from Germany, Italy, and Austria joined on March 1st, creating a joyful and blessed gathering.
We were privileged to welcome Sister Nike Adeyemi from our church in Ireland. She arrived at Zurich Airport on Saturday and traveled by train to Konstanz.
The programme commenced with prayers and evangelism, led by Brother Johnson Oladipo at 4 pm in the inner city of Konstanz. The saints shared tracts as they reached out, and we thank God for His divine presence.
Later that evening, at 6 pm, the revival programme began with an organ prelude by Brother Dare Abioye. A violin trio, featuring Sister Victoria Oladipo, Sister Adimchinobi Goodness, and Brother Olusanya Olayinka, performed There Shall Be Showers of Blessing. This was followed by a choir rendition of Joy Unspeakable. Congregational singing was led by the revivalist, Sister Abena Abioye, followed by prayers from Sister Nike Adeyemi.
During the testimony session, brethren shared inspiring accounts of God’s faithfulness. Sister Ijeoma testified about divine protection during the war in Ukraine; Brother Gbenga praised God for provision in difficult times; Sister Goodness shared how God miraculously ordered her footsteps, and Brother Jonathan testified about God’s healing power. These testimonies uplifted and encouraged the congregation.
A special song, Sweet Holy Spirit, rendered by Sister Goodness, was deeply moving and spirit-filled. Sister Abena then delivered a sermon titled “Revive Us Again,” referencing Luke 4:18-19 and Ezekiel 37:1-14. She encouraged the congregation, emphasizing how God can transform any situation, just as Ezekiel prophesied to dry bones, bringing them back to life. Following the message, fervent prayers ensued, and revival broke out both in the physical gathering and among those joining via Zoom. A total of 40 people attended (14 physical and 26 virtual)
Sunday Service – March 2, 2025
On Sunday morning, Sister Nike and other brethren from the hotel attended the church service in Konstanz. The gathering was multicultural and spirit-filled. The Sunday school session began with an organ prelude, followed by a choir rendition of Because He Lives. Sister Ijeoma led the elementary service, singing from Watch and Pray Hymnal before proceeding with the lesson “Daniel Decides”. The children, both in person and online, actively participated. A key lesson was Daniel’s refusal to eat food offered to idols, choosing instead to remain faithful to God’s commandments. Despite consuming only vegetables and water, Daniel and his companions appeared healthier and wiser than others.
The adult lesson, “Saved by Substitution”, was taught by Brother Jonathan Nwosu, focusing on Abraham’s test of faith when asked to sacrifice Isaac. The lesson also highlighted God’s immense love for humanity, demonstrated through Jesus’ sacrifice. Unlike Abraham, who received a substitute, Jesus was the only perfect sacrifice for mankind. The session concluded with a solo performance by Sister Victoria titled The Love of God, followed by a review from Sister Nike. The brethren then took time for heartfelt prayers.
The morning devotional service began with an organ prelude, followed by a violin medley performed by Sister Victoria, Sister Goodness, and Brother Olayinka. The choir presented By Grace Are Ye Saved and He’s Still Working on Me. Congregational singing was led by Sister Abena and Brother Gbenga Oladipo led the prayer session. Announcements were made by the German church leader.
A duet of Search Me, O God by Sister Goodness and Brother Olayinka served as a special song before the sermon.
Sister Nike Adeyemi delivered a powerful message titled “This Day is a Day of Good Tidings,” drawing from 2 Kings 7:9 and Psalm 118:24. She recounted the story of the lepers who, after discovering abundance in the enemy’s camp, recognized the importance of sharing the good news. She also referenced the consequence of unbelief, highlighting the story of the official who doubted Elisha’s prophecy. Her message encouraged everyone to trust in God’s ability to change any situation. It highlighted the memorable victories of the children of Israel over Pharaoh, the Red Sea, and Goliath. It was also a day of good tidings for the blind Bartimaeus and Zacchæus when they met Jesus. The disciples also had a net-breaking blessing because of obedience. Sis Nike said today can be a memorable day for all if we ask in faith. She concluded with the critical challenge: Are You Saved? The benediction was given by Sister Abena. 28 brethren were in attendance (14 physical and 14 virtual).
Following the closing prayers, the brethren gathered for a fellowship meal, enjoying delicious food and taking group photographs. Thereafter, participants from different parts of Europe departed for their respective destinations, carrying with them renewed spiritual strength. It was truly a remarkable weekend in God’s presence!
