Ireland Victory Conference 2025

Ireland Victory Conference 2025 Report | 17th–18th May

The 2025 Musical Evangelism Conference in Ireland was a refreshing and spiritually uplifting experience. We were delighted to welcome musicians and ministers from across the UK and France. Glory be to God for the powerful expressions of His wonders through vocal and instrumental music, heartfelt testimonies, and words of exhortation.

Day One: Saturday, 17th May

Delegates began arriving on Friday evening, with a few traveling from France early Saturday morning. They were warmly welcomed and taken to their hotel accommodations. Due to limited access to the meeting hall in the morning, the choir—led by Sister Olos Irenoa from the Peckham branch—held rehearsals at the hotel. After a lunch break and dress rehearsal, the team made their way to the meeting venue by 4:00 pm. Final preparations were completed before the prayer room opened at 5:30 pm.

The musical evening commenced at 6:00 pm with a warm welcome and chorus session led by Sister Mercy Adeyemi, the leader of our Ireland Group, followed by the opening prayer from Reverend Francis Odudu, our Regional Director for Mainland Europe. The choir then ministered powerfully with songs including Hooked on Praises, Shout to the Lord, Wonderful is Jesus, Majesty Medley, Where Your Glory Dwells, and Every Time I Feel the Spirit.

Two inspiring quintet performances, Unspeakable Joy Medley and Surely Goodness & Mercy, added further depth to the evening. A standout moment was the solo performance of He Shall Feed His Flock by Sister Patricia Sossa, a minister and the choir leader from our France Church.

Instrumental presentations included March of the Bowmen, Slavonic Dance, and Crown Him with Many Crowns by the orchestra. A classical trombone solo—Trombone Concertino Op. 4 and In Christ Alone—was beautifully delivered by Ethan Sossa, Sister Patricia’s son.

Testimonies shared during the evening were deeply moving. Sister Deborah Olorunsaye, leader of the Edinburgh of our group in Edinburgh, Scotland, testified of victory over sin, how God saved her soul, and opened doors in her academic and personal life. Brother Olugbenga Dada from Leicester group, shared his incredible testimony of salvation and how God miraculously brought him back to life after being declared dead for three days.

Sister Mercy returned to lead the congregation in singing How Marvellous, How Wonderful and My Faith Has Found a Resting Place before Reverend Delight Nyoni, from our Birmingham branch delivered a stirring exhortation titled “The Greatness and Wonders of God”, beginning with Psalm 86:10. He reflected on God’s greatness seen in creation and life itself, emphasizing God’s love demonstrated through Jesus Christ. Reverend Delight also shared a personal testimony of how God healed his wife after a decade-long illness, encouraging all to believe and experience God’s wonders through simple faith.

The evening concluded with the choir’s final special, Every Time I Feel the Spirit, which the congregation joined as a powerful takeaway message.

We were honoured to have three local county councillors attend, two of whom stayed until the end and addressed the congregation. Sister Suzane Vimaje from our France branch closed the service with a prayer in French. A time of fellowship, food, and warm greetings followed before everyone returned to their accommodations.

While eighty-three people attended in person, there were forty-eight virtual attendees at the Saturday event.

Day Two: Sunday, 18th May

Sunday began with early preparations, prayer, and setup. As a prelude, Praise Ogundipe, from our Belfast group performed a viola solo accompanied by Ethan Sossa on the piano. Sister Olos Irenoa led the opening congregational singing and prayer, and Sister Emah Itang from the Bexley HQ branch taught the adult Sunday School lesson titled, Is My Name There? She urged everyone to be prepared for the rapture by ensuring their names are written in the Book of Life, prompting a time of earnest prayer.

The devotional service opened with beautiful choir and orchestra renditions, including Wonderful Merciful Saviour, Everybody Ought to Know Who Jesus Is, Victory in Jesus, and Wonderful Grace of Jesus. Sister Patricia Sossa led the congregational singing, and the Bible reading—Revelation 21:5–7—was taken by Reverend Delight Nyoni. Sisters Faith and Shamba ministered with the duet Lead Me to Calvary before the sermon.

Reverend Francis Odudu delivered the message on “The Real Victory”, starting with Revelation 12:10–11. He shared greetings and prayers from the District Superintendent Reverend Mark and the UK saints, expressing support for the continued growth of the work in Ireland. He explained that while worldly victories—such as winning trophies—are temporary and circumstantial, true and lasting victory comes only through the God of wonders. He likened the Christian journey to a race with rules, made possible by God’s grace, where every faithful runner is a winner.

Referencing John 3:3 and the story of Nicodemus, he emphasized that being born again is the first step to victory. Jesus’s sacrifice is the price for our victory, and holiness is required to make heaven. From Hosea 10:12, he exhorted the congregation on sanctification and the power of the Holy Spirit. He warned that no one knows when the Book of Life will be opened—and today is the time to be ready.

The message stirred hearts, and the altar quickly filled with people praying fervently. Brother Antony John from the Glasgow group led the closing prayer. Prayers continued until all were satisfied, following which we had a good time of fellowship and networking over a sumptuous lunch.

We believe that the seed planted in Ireland over the years has once again been watered—ready for a bountiful harvest.

Attendance was a total of eighty-four persons, with seventy physically attending while fourteen attended virtually.
