Ministering to the Elderly

The church visits five homes in London, two in Peckham, two in Catford and one in Bromley. The visits are done by both ministers and workers.

During such visits, hymns or choruses are rendered followed by testimonies and a short exhortation to remind those in attendance of the love of God in sending His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins that we might be forgiven and live with Him eternally in Heaven. At the end of every session, prayers are made for the elderly and their carers and literature and tracts are distributed to everyone willing to accept them including visitors and staff.
At Christmas time, more volunteer workers are sent out to these homes as well as other homes that are not on our list in order to cheer them up and share the joy of Christmas with them. We also encourage them to see it as a period of self-evaluation and eventually invite Jesus Christ into their lives.

Our challenge as a church is to be able to reach out to more homes. We covet your prayers for God to send more labourers to help with the expansion of the work. We also pray that both we and our audience would make heaven at last.
