Manchester Outreach Reaches New Communities | 23rd October 2026
We thank God for the opportunities He continues to give workers from the Apostolic Faith Mission UK Manchester branch to take the Gospel beyond the walls of the church and into surrounding communities.
In recent outreach efforts, workers have reached Manchester, Salford and Bolton, sharing the Gospel through open-air services, personal invitations, literature distribution and music. Outreach has taken place at strategic locations, including the University of Manchester, the University of Salford, railway stations and surrounding communities.
It has been encouraging to see people stop, listen and engage with the Gospel message. The musical presentations have been particularly effective in attracting attention and creating opportunities to share the good news of Jesus Christ.
Reaching One Soul at a Time
The outreach has not only focused on public places. Workers also visited a veteran member of the church living in Bolton who, because of her age and the distance involved, is no longer able to attend services regularly in Manchester.
The visit, which included a time of musical fellowship, brought her great joy and encouragement. She expressed her appreciation and asked that the workers continue to visit her. She also requested assistance in bringing her son to Manchester to attend church services.
The experience was a reminder that evangelism includes not only reaching new people but also remembering, encouraging and strengthening those who may no longer be able to gather regularly with the church family.
Greater Manchester – and Beyond
By the grace of God, the Manchester branch hopes to extend these evangelistic efforts across Greater Manchester and beyond, taking seriously Christ’s commission:
“Ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” — Acts 1:8
Leeds is the next proposed outreach location. The aim is to begin creating greater awareness of the gospel work in the area and to establish relationships within the local community. This is particularly timely as the church prayerfully considers the acquisition of a property in Leeds that could provide a base for future worship, fellowship and evangelistic work.
As these outreach efforts continue, our prayer is that God will open doors, lead hungry hearts to the Gospel, strengthen existing believers, and enable the Apostolic Faith work to reach new communities.
The mission remains simple: go where the people are, share Christ, and trust God for the increase.
