The Apostolic Faith Mission branches in Edinburgh and Glasgow hosted the District Superintendent, Reverend Mark Mfandarahwa, and his family from Friday, 3rd October to Sunday, 5th October 2025. The visit concluded with a joint Sunday service at Lagoon Leisure Centre in Paisley, Glasgow.
The day began with Sunday School at 10:30 am. Brother Ademola Ojo led the congregation in singing ‘Trust and Obey’, reflecting the topic of the lesson, Virtue. He also offered the opening prayer. Sister Marble Mfandarahwa taught the search lesson, focusing on Daniel as an epitome of virtue. The class was interactive and uplifting, and every student was challenged to ‘Dare to Be a Daniel’. Answer and Primary Pal classes were held separately during the Search lesson. A total of sixty-two people attended the Sunday School.

The devotional service, which started at 11:30 am, opened with a cheerful children’s presentation through which they welcomed everyone and assured them of God’s desire to bless and speak to them during the service. The choir then played ‘March of the Men of Harlech’ and ‘Blessed Be the Name of the Lord’, followed by a heartfelt rendition of ‘O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing’, which reminded everyone of God’s goodness and faithfulness. The Youth Choir then rendered “Revelation,” which highlighted the omnipotent power of God.
Sister Ireti Olukitibi led the congregation in singing ‘All Hail the Power of Jesus Name’, ‘How Great Thou Art’ and ‘Are You Washed in the Blood’. The latter was especially invitational, powerfully reminding the congregation of the essential need for cleansing through the blood of Jesus. This was followed by the opening congregational prayer offered by Sister Debbie Olorunsaiye.
Brother Tunbosun Oyedokun gave the announcements and, in closing, revisited the children’s recessional song, ‘God Had Something to Say’, to encourage everyone to open their hearts and listen to the message God has for them.
The service continued with the choir’s first special, ‘There’s Something About That Name’, highlighting the atoning and purifying power of Jesus. Brother Henry Todzaniso then read the scripture from Luke 12:35-40, followed by the last special, ‘Lord I Come’, also rendered by the choir.

Brother Mark preached on the theme ‘Be Ye Therefore Ready’, taking his text from Luke 12:39–40. He emphasised the importance of spiritual preparedness, reminding the congregation that the coming of Jesus will be sudden and unexpected, like a thief in the night. He further stressed that salvation, sanctification and the baptism of the Holy Spirit are essential requirements for entering Heaven, far beyond mere church attendance or membership. The sermon concluded with a heartfelt appeal for everyone to seek God earnestly in prayer. ‘When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder’ was rendered, which enabled a suitable atmosphere for the long and fervent session of prayer that followed.
Shortly after the service, a sister shared a testimony of how she felt the service was organised specifically for her and that she was re-anointed. A total of sixty-one people were in attendance. The day ended with a wonderful time of fellowship and refreshment.
