Spiritual Shopping

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. – Malachi 3:10

Shelves of canned fruits, vegetables, and soups towered around me as I searched for the perfect selection for dinner. Then, with my grocery cart traveling
over the speed limit, I headed down the main expressway searching for the advertised sale items. When I reached the display of the best buys for
the week, I could see that the shelf was almost empty; I would have to get a rain check. As I started disappointedly toward the checkouts, I noticed
several young men pulling carts filled with boxes to restock the shelves. I scanned the box labels quickly with my eyes, but unfortunately, what
I wanted was not there. I looked at my basket, and it was only partially full. I would have to settle for less than what I had come for.

God has a supermarket too—a storehouse filled to overflowing, furnished with everything we need. It is open twenty-four hours a day, seven days
a week for our convenience. We can always find what we want there through prayer. No rain checks are given and no restocking is done at God’s storehouse
for the shelves never become empty. They continually overflow with plenty. On hand are: faith, wisdom, forgiveness, love, patience, peace, joy,
mercy, courage, and much more. We can shop from the comfort of our own homes while we wash dishes or kneel beside a chair. We can also access God’s
storehouse at church in the congregation of the righteous. Even lying in bed on a sleepless night is a perfect time to shop in the Lord’s bountiful
market.

Have you been shopping at God’s storehouse lately? You will never find another store like this, so come and fill your basket with a spiritual feast.
The blessings are unlimited, and a supply of what you need is ready and waiting to be poured out just for the asking.
