Songs and Praise

Post camp meeting revival week 2017. Day 2 report

Prayer Coordinator: Sister Kofo Ladeinde

Topic: True Obedience (To do what God requires of us)
Tonight's revival prayer meeting added onto last night's foundation.   We began by singing from CGS 207 "Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power?" and then we sang CGS 132 - "Lord I care not for riches, Neither silver nor gold".
Lastly, CGS 148 "More love to thee O Christ, More love to Thee;"   Sister Ladeinde read from Isaiah 51: 1-4,7-16;   She spoke about the importance of obedience, not half-hearted obedience, but true obedience, when we yearn to do the things God instructs of us with all our heart.
Sister Ladeinde used the example of God's instruction to Moses about Aaron's consecration in Leviticus 8 and Exodus 29. In these passages we see how precise God was about His instructions, therefore we also must follow His instructions precisely, if we are to live in peace with God and man. We MUST obey and let our heart be in it, we should ask God to let our hearts be bubbling for Him.
For the 2nd session, the prayer requests were read and we were led in congregational singing of "I've got peace like a river". Sis Ladeinde also read from Isaiah 26:3: "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." The passage reinforced our faith in God, that all our prayer requests will be answered.
We all then went on our knees bringing all these and other unwritten petitions before God. Brethren tarried on their knees for a while even after the night's session ended formally.
