In its relatively short lifetime, television has be­come one of the major forces shaping the attitudes and perceptions of people today. "Television can be considered to be a window on the world . . . through which the child first perceives his society and then learns from repeated example," says Dr. John P. Murray, Research Coordinator of the Surgeon Gen­eral's Advisory Comniittee on Television and Social Behavior.

As Christians, we need to be vitally concerned about the "windows" through which we and our chil­dren see man, God, the family, and all of life.
